Falmouth Food Festival: Making magic happen by the coast

The much-loved Falmouth Food Festival returns for its fourth year over the late May bank holiday weekend, offering a full four-day experience celebrating Cornwall’s incredible food scene.

Returning to Church Street Car Park from 22nd to 25th May, Falmouth Food Festival is a community event to enjoy free of charge, featuring everything from chef demonstrations and fresh food, to live music and dancing. Festival-goers will find something delicious sizzling away at every corner, from mouth-watering burgers and loaded fries, to seafood doused in lemon juice and fresh oysters that will make your heart sing. Wines, ciders, beers and ales, and zingy cocktails are the perfect accompaniment to wash everything down.

What’s more, festival-goers will have the chance to sample and buy from the very best artisan makers in the craft and producer tent. Whether you’re tempted by a slab of Cornish cheese that would go perfectly with some wine in the garden over the bank holiday, a tub of olives to pair with an Aperol Spritz, or some jewellery that oozes Cornish charm, there really is something for everyone.

Described as ‘Falmouth’s very own Epicurean Odyssey’, the chef’s theatre is set to showcase some of the best chefs in the South West, hosting live cooking demonstrations, interactive chef and producer talks, live fire-cooking, plus exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences.

Whether you’re popping in for some good food or an ice-cold beer to get the long weekend off to a good start, or dragging a whole load of friends down for a night by the water, the festival will once again have a vibrant schedule of live music to create that perfect Cornish atmosphere, so you can dance to tunes by local artists, bands and musicians as the sun sets over the water.

There’s no doubt that Falmouth Food Festival is the place to be this May bank holiday!
