The non-academically selective school recorded 93% of all grades between 9 and 4, while 93% of pupils achieved at least five GCSEs at grades 4 to 9. A quarter of all grades awarded were between 7 and 9.

While the results open exciting opportunities for further study and future careers, the school says its celebrations extend beyond academic achievement, recognising the individual journeys and personal challenges overcome by its students.

Headteacher Mr O Scott said the year group had demonstrated determination and developed confidence throughout their time at St Joseph’s.

“The Class of 2026 should be immensely proud of everything they have achieved,” he said. “As a non-selective school, we celebrate every grade earned, every barrier overcome and every personal success realised.”

The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, supporting pupils with a range of abilities, backgrounds and learning profiles, including both neurotypical and neurodivergent students. Staff highlight the importance of creating an environment where every young person feels valued, understood and encouraged to reach their potential.

Beyond the classroom, pupils have taken part in sport, music, drama, outdoor learning, community service and leadership opportunities. The school’s extensive outdoor spaces also provide opportunities for learning, reflection and personal development.

Mr O Scott added that the Class of 2026 were leaving with more than examination results, having developed the confidence, skills and self-belief to take their next steps.

“Whether their journey now takes them to sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment, they do so equipped with the skills, values and self-belief to flourish,” he said.

St Joseph’s School has congratulated every member of the year group and wished them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
