'Sharing is Caring': KLOTH

Do you have plans for this winter which need specialist tools, equipment or gadgets and don’t want to break the bank or fill your home with kit you won’t use regularly? The Kernow Library of Things (known as KLOTH) is here to help!

Based in Penryn, you can borrow all kinds of things from the library - from lawn mowers to sewing machines, and from ice cream makers to camping beds.

It’s about coming together as a community to make things happen and is not for profit - people pay a borrowing fee as a casual user or pay a small membership fee for access to even lower prices, which will then be spent on more stock and repairs.

Items can be reserved via the library’s website and collected on Monday’s from 12pm - 2pm, Thursday’s from 7pm - 8.30pm and on Saturdays from 10.30am - 12.30pm.

People are also welcome to pop by the library at these times to see what is in stock in person, discuss options and get advice from the library’s volunteers.
