Step into nature’s dangerous side at Kelly House

Poison in the Garden is returning to Kelly House this spring and summer, allowing visitors to explore over 50 common, beautiful but dangerous plants in an English country garden.

This event offers a chance to get outside in nature, but with a twist! Sophia Kelly of Kelly House began the venture after exploring her garden during lockdown and realising just how many poisonous and harmful plants were established there. Having run Poison in the Garden each spring and summer since, it is a fun, educational and insightful day out for all the family.

Follow the trail around the grounds to discover each poisonous plant - you may even have a few lurking at home that you might not have realised were harmful!

Afterwards, why not pop into the tearoom for tea or coffee and cake?

Entry is £6 per person, with under 14s going free. Gardener’s World 2 for 1 entry applies. Dogs are welcome on a lead. Donations for Children’s Hospice South West.

Poison in the Garden is open every Sunday and Monday starting on Sunday 12th April until Monday 13thJuly, 10.30am-4.30pm.
