Launceston's fireworks display: what you need to know
Launceston’s annual fireworks display takes place on Saturday, 1st November at Coronation Park.

Tickets are available from the Visitor Information Centre. Gate and ticket prices are £5 per adult, while children under 16 go free! This fireworks event is the best display around, and every penny made at the gate enables the Coronation Park Trust to invest in the park’s infrastructure.
The display will start at 7pm, and is a great and safe way of celebrating the 5th November.
ALTERNATIVE CELEBRATIONS
If you want to skip fireworks altogether, but still want to mark the occasion, why not fire up a Bonfire Night barbecue and treat the family to some delicious hotdogs and burgers? Wrap up warm, put on some outdoor fairy lights, make hot chocolates and feast on delicious food. You never know, you might just spot some fireworks in the sky from your own garden!
STAYING SAFE
Historically, the 5th November has always been an exciting night in terms of gathering with your friends, family and community, watching incredible fireworks displays, or warming yourself by a crackling bonfire. Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service has some important safety advice if you’re considering having fireworks at home.
•Only buy fireworks with a CE mark;
•Follow instructions carefully, ensure everyone is stood well back, and that pets are shut indoors;
•Never go near a firework that has been lit;
•Always supervise children around fireworks and sparklers;
•Soak used fireworks and sparklers for 24 hours before getting rid of them. If you plan on using fireworks, it would also be considerate to let neighbours know in advance, in case of nervous pets or family members.
See Cornwall Council's website for more advice.
