The Christmas festivities arrive in Bodmin
It’s the start of the festive season in Bodmin, as we get ready to see the town illuminated for Christmas on Friday, 28th November.

There’s so much to see and do throughout the evening, starting at 4pm at Priory Park with a fun fair (running until 10pm), food stands and market stalls. Over at Mount Folly, Honey Street and Fore Street, Bodmin Town Band will be playing much-loved carols while snow from the snow machine falls all around.
KBSK and Future Youth Dance will be performing, plus you can take part in a fun ‘12 Days of Christmas’ quiz - simply uncover the festive phrase in shop windows, then visit the Old Library or Fleurtations to receive your chocolate prize.
Between 4.30pm and 8pm, Santa's Sleigh will be outside Boots with Bodmin Lions, while there will be plenty of festive music ringing out from Market Arcade, featuring DJ ElecTR1x's Christmas party, and performances by Cat Florence, Lauren Tighe, Millpool Chorale and Tilly Armstrong.
Bodmin Gallery and Creative Studio will be open for a spot of gift shopping (4pm-8pm), get crafty at Light and Life Church (4.30pm-6.30pm), enjoy entertainment throughout the evening at Martin & Budge Menswear, take part in the fancy dress photos and parade at the Old Library - which sets off at 6.15pm to Mount Folly for the Christmas lights switch-on - and head to The Beat from 8pm for the town after party.
The Christmas tree lights switch-on will take place at 6.30pm, welcoming the festive season to Bodmin for 2025.
See Bodmin Christmas Lights on Facebook for all the details.
