Launceston 24-hour 'erg-athon' a resounding success!
A 24-hour 'erg-athon' at Launceston Health and Fitness Hub has been described as a 'resounding success', with in excess of 100 people coming through the doors and making sure the ergs turned constantly.

From regular members to new faces signing up at 1.30am and setting early alarms to be part of this great event, the team at Launceston Health and Fitness Hub are delighted with the results, and more than £1,000 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support - the chosen charity of four members taking on the HYROX challenge in London soon.

John and Adam succeeded in their 240km aim each, they dug deep and were supported and cheered on when the going got tough.
One participant Ebony said: "Remember there are people out there fighting for their lives to survive. They would do anything to be able to hop on a bike or rower and give it their 15 minutes."
Nina added: "And that - that is why we have done it. I know all of us have either been touched by cancer in one way or another. I also know that Macmillian do incredible work with families, children and supporting people through their darkest days."
Currently, the total sits at £1,100. The donation link is live until Sunday, 30th November so there is still time to support! What has been achieved as a community shows 'true spirit and strength'.
Thanks have been extended to Eric Walpole for DJing, Nina and Chris Sargent for the chilli, Vicky Blundell for her incredible energy and smiles, and every single person who walked through the doors to show their support. A total of 1,340,758 metres was covered in 24hours!
