St Tudy Carnival is back and 'bigger than ever'!

Back for its 79th year, St Tudy Carnival is looking forward to welcoming crowds this summer.

On Saturday, 12th July, St Tudy is the only place to be, and everyone is invited to join in with the carnival, which is bigger and better than ever for its 79th year.

Make your way to the playing fields from 4.30pm to see what it's all about! All floats and walkers are welcome to take part, with everything from queens and vintage cars, to tractors and - new for this year - trikes and bikes encouraged to turn out.

With bouncy castles, a hog roast, various street food offerings, sweet treats, the carnival bar and carnival games, there will be fun for all the family.

Gates officially open at 4.30pm, with registration taking place between 5pm-5.50pm, following by judging between 6pm-6.30pm. The procession is set to leave the field at 6.45pm and will return after the procession around the village, followed by a prize giving for class entries. The after party kicks off at 8.30pm, with the awesome Firebird playing until late in the party tent.

A spokesperson from St Tudy Carnival said: "It’s a family friendly event for everyone to enjoy, come a see what a real village carnival is like - you might just be surprised! We look forward to welcoming you to St Tudy and making you part of our carnival family."
