Therapy centre appeals for community support following devastation caused by Storm Goretti

Little Margate Therapeutic Centre is appealing to the community for support after Storm Goretti swept in, causing damage to both the equestrian centre and therapy centre, which is located on the edge of Bodmin.

The therapy centre has proved essential to children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health problems, and special educational needs. With a variety of loveable farm animals and ponies on site, sessions offer the opportunity to step away from the challenges of life, to learn and connect with the animals, and to boost wellbeing. The therapy centre has been incredibly important in the recovery of many people in the community and across Cornwall.

However, as Storm Goretti swept in earlier in January, both the equestrian and therapy centres at Little Margate experienced a lot of damage, resulting in a number of unexpected costs and repairs. An entire barn on the therapy site was destroyed, a large portion of the sandschool fencing is down, an arena mirror was smashed, the roof of a block of stables was lifted and lots of fencing across the site has been damaged.

Now, they are fundraising for £5,000 to make the essential repairs. Can you help? All you need to do is head to https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/littlemargate-equestrian2026?utm_medium=CF&utm_source=FB to donate.
