KBSK appeals to community for winter support

KBSK CIC, a youth organisation based at The SPACE, is encouraging the community to support their winter appeal to make sure every child gets to experience a magical Christmas.

Adie Dove, the founder of KBSK – which provides dance opportunities and activities for young people in Bodmin – this week put out a moving message to the organisation’s online followers, asking locals to consider donating to their winter appeal. The team have already gone above and beyond with providing food parcels which are available for families in need to collect, free of charge, from The SPACE. As we head into winter, they want to go one step further.

As Christmas approaches, it’s a time that many of us look forward to. Equally, there are many families who simply cannot afford the luxuries that come with this time of year, and so ‘Christmas’ becomes a dreaded word.

To address this, KBSK is running a Christmas toy appeal. They are hoping to receive donations of toys and treats so that they can distribute them to families in need this Christmas.

They are accepting new toys only, plus Christmas treats for hampers, which can be dropped off anytime at Lidl, or at The SPACE – Mondays, 4pm-9pm; Tuesdays, 5pm-6.30pm; Wednesdays, 10.30am-6pm; Thursdays, 4pm-8.30pm; Saturdays, 9.30am-5pm.

See The SPACE on social media for updates, or email info@kbsk.co.uk for more information.
