Bodmin Jail Unveils Spooktacular Halloween Line-Up for 2025

Bodmin Jail is set to transform into Cornwall’s ultimate Halloween destination this October, offering a chilling mix of self-guided adventures, guided tours, and spooky activities for all ages.

Haunted Gallery Returns

As part of self-guided entry, the Haunted Gallery returns, and this year there is even more to uncover. Explore the history of hauntings at the Jail and across the globe, encounter ghostly figures around the museum, and take part in challenges, photoshoots, and activity trails. All this and much more awaits brave visitors.

Go Darker Tour

The Go Darker Tour replaces standard heritage tours for October, taking guests deeper into the darker side of history, crime, and punishment.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat Activity Trail

From 17th October, families and little ghostbusters can enjoy a Halloween Trick-or-Treat Activity Trail. Complete the activity sheet while exploring the mysteries of the Jail and claim a free reward from the gift shop at the end.

Paranormal Audio Trail App

Also launching on 17th October is the Paranormal Audio Trail app. Bring your own headphones and immerse yourself in the paranormal history and infamous spirits of Bodmin Jail.

Ghost Walks & Paranormal Investigations

Half-term visitors can take part in even more Ghost Walks, running Tuesday through Saturday. Led by candlelight, these tours reveal the spirits of the Jail and Cornwall’s most infamous tales. For those feeling brave, the Paranormal Investigations After Dark offer the chance to hunt for spirits using specialist equipment under the guidance of expert paranormal wardens.

Halloween Fireworks & Day of the Dead Silent Disco

The Jail's annual Halloween Fireworks return this year, bigger and better than ever, with entertainment, thrills, and activities throughout the attraction. Finally, the biggest Halloween party of the year takes place on 1st November with a Day of the Dead Silent Disco. Only a handful of tickets remain.

"Halloween at Bodmin Jail is always one of our favourite times of the year," says Jess Marlton, General Manager. "From spooky family activities to our immersive haunted experiences, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome visitors to explore the darker side of history, enjoy the thrills, and make unforgettable memories this October."
